In Memory of Dr Glenn Draper
Dr. Glenn Draper’s love of choral music thrust him into a career that included forming the Keesler Air Force Base Male Chorus, becoming Director of Music at Pheiffer College, the University of Miami, Coral Gables United Methodist Church, UT Chattanooga, the Lake Junaluska Singers, and the Glenn Draper Singers. In 1968 he teamed up with the late Ben Haden at First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga, and soon his music was broadcast all over the world. His accolades are too numerous to mention, but he brought unparalleled passion and energy to everything he endeavored to do.
Countless singers and students credit him for changing the course of their lives. Just like his lovely wife, Lounelle, they too held on for dear life, as he took them all over the world. He loved each of them dearly.
Now, Dr. Draper’s legacy of blessing others through music continues through Donations to the Chattanooga Music Club’s Evelyn Gibbs Performance Fund (see below).

The Evelyn Gibbs Performance Fund
In 2010 the Chattanooga Music Club created the special position of Secretary General in recognition of all that Miss Evelyn Gibbs had done for the club and the music community of the TN Valley. Just the week before her homegoing on March 16, 2019, the club honored “Auntie Evelyn” with the establishment of The Evelyn Gibbs Performance Fund. This fund will enable the club to continue to present the two annual free programs featuring the Mighty Austin Organ which Miss Gibbs worked tirelessly for over three decades to get restored. Tax deductible contributions in her memory may be made to the Chattanooga Music Club (Gibbs Fund) P. O. Box 21572, Chattanooga, TN 37424 or by clicking on the paypal online donation button below.
